Minister Shirley Hunter was
born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to Mr. & Mrs. Walter Mackmore. Minister Shirley Hunter and Pastor Hunter have two children,
Imari, age 19 and Joshua, age 17and a adopted grand Jemil Thomas age 6. Minister Shirley Hunter attended and graduated
from Curie Metropolitan Highschool, afterwhich, she immediately began working for Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centers, Inc.
She started out as a Receptionist but soon became a Consultant. After seven years with Jenny Craig, Shirley Hunter
became a managing Center Director until she left Jenny Craig after eleven years of service. Minister Shirley Hunter
knew she had a calling to work with children, so with God's help, with the inspiration from her own children, and with encouragement
from her husband, she began A Chosen Generation, a Christian home childcare center. While caring for the needs
of her own children, and those of the community, she enrolled in South Suburban College and began studying for and obtained
an associates degree in Early Childhood Development. She continues to run a successful daycare after more than ten years.
With the
success of the childcare business, Minister Shirley Hunter and husband, Pastor Hunter, also started a transportation
service and moved forward into full time entrepreneurship. Having a strong faith in God, Minister Shirley Hunter was
led to pursue and obtain her credentials as a licensed an ordained Evangelist under the leadership of Apostle Richard
Daniel Henton of Monument of Faith Church of Chicago, Illinois. Minsiter Hunter and he husband are also the founders
of Nemuel Community Services, where they continue to mentor young girls and boys, providing them with spiritual and moral
guideance. Minister Hunter aspires, in the future, to pursue her Bachelors degree in elementary education
and to open her own private christian childcare and elementary school.
